Katoomba Psychedelic Cacti Workshops

We’ve just released tickets for psychedelic cacti workshops with Dr Liam Engel, taking place on July 16th in Katoomba, atop the lovely Blue Mountain.

If you’ve attended our workshops before and are after a class you haven’t done before, you’ll have to wait until August 20th; when we’ll be offering a brand new class on Australian psychedelics alongside our two staple mescaline cacti classes on August 20th in Lewisham.

The first, introductory workshop explores mescaline and the relationship of this psychedelic with special species of cacti, most notably Peyote (Lophophora williamsii) and San Pedro (Trichocereus sp.). Attendees will learn how to identify magic cacti and related harm reduction techniques. We will also practice a unique technique for seed germination and seedling raising. Attendees will make their own terrarium and plant their own San Pedro seeds. 90 minutes (11:00am-12:30pm). Limited to 22 participants.

The second, intermediate workshop focuses on more advanced mescaline cacti propagation techniques. Most professional growers obtain their plants by growing from seed, grafting and trading – few people can afford rare cacti at market value. In this workshop, participants learn about San Pedro horticulture and techniques for accelerating the growth of slow-growing and valuable cacti. Attendees will have the opportunity to try their hands at grafting and micrografting, and will return home with their own grafted mescaline cacti. 90 minutes (1:30pm-3:00pm). Limited to 22 participants.

A selection of psychedelic cacti will also be available for participants to purchase.
